(Coolidge, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s track & field team competed in Coolidge on Saturday at the Central Arizona College Indoor Meet.
Sophomore Donovan Henderson set Indoor and Outdoor season national qualifiers in the Triple Jump with a mark of 14.88 meters (48-feet, 10-inches) in his second attempt. The jump put him third in Pima school history.
Henderson also took first place and set an Indoor season national qualifier in the Long Jump with a mark of 7.18 meters (23-7) on his first attempt. He is ranked No. 7 in the event.
In other men’s events, sophomore Zachary Maxwell (Show Low HS) placed second in the Weight Throw at 14.33 meters (47-0.25) in his last attempt. He also took fourth place in the Shot Put with a second-attempt throw of 13.18 meters (43-3).
The Aztecs will compete in the Mesa Multi and Indoor Meets on Friday and Saturday Feb. 11-12 at Mesa Community College.
