(Tucson, AZ) The Tucson Sugar Skulls continue to fill out their 2022 roster, signing two more IFL veterans on the offensive side of the ball, offensive lineman Corey Madlock and wide receiver Andre Williams.
OL Corey Madlock (6’4, 315, University of Tennessee-Martin) joins the Sugar Skulls for his fourth IFL season, and his first in Tucson. Madlock spent 2021 with the Louisville Xtreme, and Before joining Louisville, played for Sugar Skulls head coach Dixie Wooten from 2018-2019 as a member of the Iowa Barnstormers, where he was part of their 2018 championship squad.
Madlock played collegiately at University of Tennessee-Martin, appearing in 19 games over two seasons with the Skyhawks. Corey began his college career at Bowling Green University, where he also played two seasons and helped the 2015 team to a 10-4 record, MAC Conference Championship, and an appearance in the GoDaddy Bowl. A native of Buffalo, New York, Madlock played defensive tackle at Cleveland Hill High School in Cheektowaga, New York.
WR Andre Williams (6’2, 205, Dean College) joins the Sugar Skulls for his second season in the IFL, and his first in Tucson. Williams played seven games for the Bismarck Bucks in 2021, totaling 17 receptions for 232 yards and six touchdowns.
In junior college, Williams played running back at Dean College. In 2011, Williams helped the Bulldogs to an 8-1 season, finishing as the 11th ranked NJCAA team in the nation and earning a victory in the Valley of the Sun Bowl. Williams was selected to the JUCO All-American Second Team during his final college season. A native of Nashua, New Hampshire, Williams started at running back and also played defensive back for Nashua North High School. During his high school career, Williams rushed for over 2,500 yards and gained 3,400 all-purpose yards.
