(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College volleyball player Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) had another impactful week on the defensive side of the net and was rewarded for her efforts by the ACCAC conference.
Felix, a sophomore libero, was named ACCAC Division II Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 27-Oct. 3. This is her second selection of the season as she earned the honors for the week of Sept. 13-19.
Felix finished with 55 digs and four assists as the Aztecs went 1-1; falling at No. 20 Chandler-Gilbert Community College in four sets but bouncing back to top Yavapai College in four sets. Felix has been instrumental in the Aztecs maintaining an undefeated record at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium so far this season at 4-0.
She is second in the conference with 237 digs in 16 matches and 54 sets played.
The Aztecs are back on the road on Wednesday at South Mountain Community College in an ACCAC match-up starting at 7:00 p.m.
