(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s track & field team earned a pair of NJCAA national qualifying marks on Friday at the Mesa Outdoor Invitational.
Sophomore Eliza Littlewood (Campo Verde HS) earned a season-best jump and set a national qualifier in the long jump as she finished in first place with a mark of 5.57 meters (18-feet, 3.25-inches)
Freshman thrower Akira Jones (St. David HS) also earned a season-best mark and set a national qualifier as she took second place in the discus at 42.58 meters (139-feet, 8-inches).
Freshman Dominique Acosta (Nogales HS) took first place in the high jump as she tied her season-best mark at 1.58 meters (5-feet, 2.25-inches). Sophomore Raelynn Fair (South Mountain HS) placed first in the triple jump at 10.89 meters (35-feet, 8.75-inches).
The Aztecs will compete in the NJCAA Region I Multi-Event Championships at Mesa Community College on Monday and Tuesday beginning at 3:00 p.m.
