(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s basketball sophomore Nikya Orange (Tanque Verde HS) posted a double-double in Pima’s final regular season game last Friday and received accolades from the ACCAC.
Orange, a forward, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Mar. 29-Apr. 4.
She helped the Aztecs earn an 83-68 win against Cochise College as she finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and a block. She went 9 for 13 from the floor.
Orange played and started in all five regular season games averaging 9.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
The Aztecs will play in the NJCAA Division II Southwest District Championship game on Friday in Dallas, TX. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. (MST).
