(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (6-0) remained undefeated on Thursday as it earned its third shutout victory of the season.
The No. 1 ranked Aztecs beat Chandler-Gilbert Community College 2-0 for its second straight shutout win.
Sophomore Francisco Manzo (Salpointe Catholic HS) scored Pima’s two goals in the 12thand 56th minutes. Sophomore Ulysses Torres (Sunnyside HS) had the assist in Manzo’s first goal.
The Aztecs defense led by sophomores Sam Lossou (Rincon HS), Conner Cosgrove (Catalina Foothills HS), Saul Lopez (Cienega HS) and Hyeonsang Jang held their opponents scoreless for the second straight game. They have given up just three shots on goal in the last two games.
Sophomore Juan Suarez (Desert View HS) finished the game with two saves.
The Aztecs will hit the road on Saturday as they play at No. 5 ranked Phoenix College. The teams are on the pitch at 4:30 p.m.
