(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College baseball team (30-8, 21-7 in ACCAC) dropped a pair of games on the road as its 20-game winning streak ended at No. 4 ranked Central Arizona College (35-3, 25-3) on Wednesday in Coolidge.
Sophomore Angel Ochoa (Canyon del Oro HS) finished the day 2 for 7 with three RBIs and two runs scored while sophomore Bailey Seeger and JJ Rollon (Skyline HS) each hit home runs. Freshmen Wilson Bannister and Chaison Miklich took the losses on the mound.
Game 1: (4) Central Arizona College Vaqueros 12, Pima CC Aztecs 2 (6 innings)
The Aztecs got run-ruled in the first game as Central Arizona scored two runs in the 5th inning and six runs in the 6th to take control and end it. It was Pima’s first loss since March 16 against Central Arizona.
The Aztecs got on the scoreboard in the 4th inning when Ochoa grounded out but scored freshman Jose Enriquez, who had led off the inning with a double.
The Aztecs tacked on another run in the 5th inning when Seeger hit a solo home run with one out to cut the deficit to 4-2.
The Aztecs managed five hits for the game. Seeger was 1 for 2 with an RBI and a run. Freshmen Alex Kelch (Tucson Magnet HS), Daniel Durazo (Salpointe Catholic HS) and Enriquez each went 1 for 3.
Bannister took the loss (4-3) as he pitched four and two-third innings giving up six runs (six earned) on seven hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

Game 2: (4) Central Arizona College Vaqueros 9, Pima CC Aztecs 8
The Aztecs couldn’t hold on to their lead as the Vaqueros scored two runs in the 8th inning to take the lead for good.
Down 4-0, the Aztecs rallied to tie it up in the 4th inning. Ochoa hit a two-out RBI single to drive in freshman Parker Schmidt. Rollon followed with a 3-run homer bringing in Enriquez and Ochoa to tie the game at 4-4.
The Aztecs took the lead at 5-4 in the 5th inning when Schmidt hit a sacrifice-fly RBI scoring freshman Trent Kiraly, who led off the inning with a double.
The Vaqueros scored three runs in the bottom half of the 5th inning to put Pima down 7-5.
The Aztecs responded with a 3-spot in the 6th inning. Durazo led off with a triple and Ochoa drove him in with an RBI single. Ochoa and Rollon took advantage of a couple wild pitches to score their runs and put the Aztecs back up 8-7.Ochoa was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Rollon finished 1 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs. Schmidt went 1 for 4 with an RBI and a run and Enriquez was 2 for 5 with a run.
Miklich took the loss in relief (2-1) as he pitched three innings giving up two runs (two earned) on four hits with four strikeouts.

The Aztecs will hit the road for their next ACCAC doubleheader as they play at Yavapai College on Saturday in Prescott. First game starts at noon.
