(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College men’s basketball player Rashad Smith (Hamilton HS) nearly averaged a triple-double as he helped guide the Aztecs to a pair of wins last week.
Smith, a sophomore guard, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 10-16. The Aztecs picked up victories over Mesa Community College and South Mountain Community College.
Smith averaged 25 points, 8.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.5 blocks for the week. He capped off the week with a 30-point, 9-rebound, 10-assist performance at South Mountain.
Smith is averaging 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists as he has played and started in 26 games this season.
The Aztecs are playing at Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
