(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in the Dave Murray Invitational on Friday at the Randolph North Golf Course.
In the women’s 5K race (3.1 miles), sophomore Iriana Sanchez (Cienega HS) finished in 28th place with a time of 23 minutes, 58.29 seconds. Fellow sophomore Rainbow Hoss (Mountain View HS) placed behind her in 29th with a time of 24:04.83.
In the men’s 7K race (4.35 miles), sophomore Juan Miranda (Flowing Wells HS) was the top finisher for the Aztecs as he took 31st place with a time of 26:41.21. Freshman Alex Corrales took 36th at 29:10.12 while Zach Zobak placed 37th with a time of 29:36.63. Aaron Espinoza was 38th at 30:12.21.
The Aztecs will compete in the ACCAC Conference Championships on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Mesa Community College. The men’s race will be at 8:00 a.m. the women’s race will follow at 8:45 a.m.
