(Tucson, AZ)) The Pima Community College men’s golf team completed the third round of play at the NJCAA Division I National Championship on Thursday at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, FL.
The Aztecs dropped a spot in the team standings to 18th as they shot a 309 for the day. They have a three-day total of 909 (296-304-309).
Freshman Samuel Salisbury (Walden Grove HS) finished with a 2-over par 74 and is tied for 32nd place with 218 (74-70-74).
Freshman Cody Goza (Blue Ridge HS) improved by 3-strokes from his second round as he finished with a 78. He has a total of 231 (72-81-78).
Freshman Matthew Fimbres (Cienega HS) struggled in his third round as he shot an 80 for the day. He sits with 232 (76-76-80) for the tournament.
Sophomore Diego Cueva-Schraidt (Sabino HS) improved by 7-strokes from his second round score as he now has a total of 235 (74-84-77).
Freshman Curtis Goldin (McClintock HS) has a three-day score of 243 (84-77-82).
The Aztecs will play in the final round tomorrow at the Duran Golf Club.
