(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s golf team earned second place after Tuesday’s final round at the Estrella Mountain Invitational.
The Aztecs finished with a two-day team score of 790 (392-398). Chandler-Gilbert Community College took first place with a total of 769 (384-385).
Sophomore Elizabeth Satterfield (Ironwood Ridge HS) finished eighth place in the individual standings with a 198 (98-100). Fellow sophomore Julienne Gonzalez (Ironwood Ridge HS) took ninth with a 199 (97-102).
Freshman Katelyn Hutchison (Cienega HS) shot a 205 (93-112) and placed 11th while freshman Hallie Lawson (Campo Verde HS) finished in 12th place with a 206 (104-102).
Sophomore Clara Solano (Tucson HS) produced the best round for the Aztecs on Tuesday as she shot a 94. She finished 14th with a 215 (121-94).
The Aztecs will play in the Scottsdale CC Invitational on Mar. 4-5 at the Hillcrest Golf Club in Sun City, AZ. Teams begin to tee off at 11:00 a.m.
