(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (16-2) played another tightly contested match with Phoenix College on Tuesday where one goal decided the game.
Sophomore Hugo Kametani scored his 20th goal of the season with an assist from sophomore Isaias German in the 85th minute as the No. 3 ranked Aztecs beat No. 8 Phoenix College 1-0 in Phoenix.
It was Pima’s fifth straight shutout victory and their eighth straight overall.
Freshman Nils Roth finished the game with one save as the Aztecs held the Bears (14-3) without a shot on goal in the second half.
The Aztecs swept the regular season meetings with the Bears. The Aztecs won 1-0 last month at Kino North Stadium.
The Aztecs face another tough test on Thursday when they host Yavapai College at Kino North Stadium. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
