The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (4-1) fell behind in the early minutes against GateWay Community College (0-4) on Tuesday but came back with 10 unanswered goals.
The No. 4 ranked Aztecs dominated the Geckos in their 10-1 win at the Rose MoffordSports Complex in Phoenix.
The Aztecs have outscored opponents 26-3 in the last four games.
Sophomore Hugo Kametani and freshman Ben Holthaus each had a hat trick while freshman Ricky Gordillo (Maya HS) had three assists (all on Holthaus’ goals). Freshman Itsuki Ishihara scored two goals and had one assist.
Freshman Nils Roth had three saves in the first half and sophomore David Silva finished with five saves in the second half.
The Aztecs will return to the Kino North Stadium on Thursday when they host Scottsdale Community College at 4:30 p.m.
