Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (1-1) bounced back on Saturday in its home opener at the Kino North Stadium.
The No. 4 ranked Aztecs took control in the second half to beat Chandler-Gilbert Community College 3-0. Freshman Ricky Gordillo scored a goal and had an assist. Freshman Monsef Bourezza and sophomore Abraham Espinoza (Saguaro HS) netted the other two goals.
The Aztecs and the Coyotes were scoreless after the first half of play. The Aztecs managed two shots on goal for the half.
Pima finished the game with seven shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Nils Roth finished the game with three saves.
The Aztecs will be back at Kino North Stadium on Tuesday to host Paradise Valley Community College. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
