Tucson, AZ –Pima Community College women’s soccer players Emily Bliven (Sahuarita HS), Taylor Bigelow (Salpointe Catholic HS) and Taylor Inocencio (St. Augustine Catholic HS) will continue their education and collegiate soccer careers at the next level.
Bliven, a sophomore defender, signed to play at Eastern Oregon University, an NAIA institution in La Grande, OR. She was named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I All-West Region team She was also selected first team All-ACCAC/Region. Bliven anchored a defense that produced 10 shutouts (nine were victories). She played and started in 18 games.
Bigelow, a sophomore defender, signed to Benedictine University-Mesa, an NAIA school in Mesa, AZ. She was named second team All-ACCAC/Region. Bigelow played and started in all 21 games for the Aztecs this season. Along with Bliven, the defense had a stretch of four straight shutout wins to end the regular season.
Inocencio, a sophomore midfielder, signed her letter of intent to play at Colorado State University-Pueblo, an NCAA Division II school in Pueblo, CO. She played and started in all 21 games this season and finished with two goals and five assists. The offense scored 66 goals on the season.
The Aztecs finished 15-5-1 on the season and won 15 games or more for the fourth straight season. The Aztecs have made the Region I, Division I Tournament every year since coach Kendra Veliz took over the program in 2001.
