The Wildcats got off to a great start as they got out to a 14-4 lead, which forced a Utah State timeout. The first quarter would come to a close with the score Arizona 22, Utah State 13. The Aggies then went on a bit of a run to cut the Arizona lead to 22-21, but the Wildcats would close strong as they made four three-pointers in the final six minutes of the second quarter. Wright led the way with 12 first-half points, all from beyond the arc.

Once again, the Wildcats came out of the locker room fast with a 7-0 run and would head to the fourth quarter with a 52-42 lead.
