(Yuma, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (2-3-1) played 110 minutes of soccer on Thursday at Arizona Western College (3-4-1, 2-3-1 in ACCAC) with the teams finishing in a stalemate.
The Aztecs and the Matadors played to a 1-1 tie.
The Aztecs got on the board early when freshman Kaitlyn Bassett (Sabino HS) scored in the 8th minute with an assist from sophomore Seti Valencia (Sunnyside HS).
The Matadors tied the game with a goal in the 64th minute.
Freshman Angelina Amparano (Salpointe Catholic HS) finished with one save.
The Aztecs will hit the road on Saturday when they play at Cochise College. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
