(Phoenix, AZ)  Grand Canyon University announced on Thursday that it has parted ways with Head Men’s Basketball Coach Dan Majerle.

“We have made the decision to move in a new direction with our men’s basketball program.” GCU President Brian Mueller said. “We wish Coach Majerle the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

In GCU’s three seasons of Division I post-season eligibility, the men’s basketball program has finished third in both 2017-18 and 2018-19 regular season standings while ending this season in a fifth-place tie with a 13-17 (8-8 conference) record.
