(San Diego, CA)  The Arizona Wildcats (4-2) dropped their second game of the Tony Gwynn Legacy event on Saturday afternoon at Fowler Park, a 4-1 decision against the Iowa Hawkeyes (3-2).

The Wildcats bullpen was again dominant, posting their second straight scoreless performance. Four relievers combined to hold Iowa to just three hits while striking out seven and keeping the Arizona offense in the game.

Arizona’s only run of the game came across the plate in the top of the seventh on an RBI groundout from left fielder Mac Bingham.

Starting pitcher Quinn Flanagan (1-1) took the loss after allowing four runs (all earned) on five hits across 4.2 innings of work. He struck out five Iowa batters along the way.
