(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (2-1) responded with a victory in the second day of the Pima College Tip-Off Classic on Friday.
The No. 4 ranked Aztecs defeated Park University 86-76. The Aztecs led 34-31 at halftime.
Freshman Jake Lieppert (Saguaro HS) scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Sophomore Rashad Smith (Hamilton HS) finished with 16 points and seven rebounds while fellow sophomore Cole Gerken (Ironwood Ridge HS) added 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Sophomore Jordan Robinson (Tucson HS) contributed with 12 points.
The Aztecs will close out play in the Pima College Tip-Off Classic on Saturday when they play Howard College (TX) at 2:00 p.m.
