Pima men’s basketball scoring leader Carrasco signs to Concordia University Irvine

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College men’s basketball player Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) signed his national letter of intent on Friday to continue his education and collegiate career.

Carrasco signed to play for Concordia University Irvine, an NCAA Division II school out of the Pacific West Conference in Irvine, CA.

Carrasco set the Pima career scoring record with 1,310 points and became a first team NJCAA All-American this season. He was second in the ACCAC Division II Player of the Year voting but earned first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II honors.

He averaged 19.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals as he played and started in all 36 games.

The Aztecs went 60-12 in two years with Carrasco. They were the NJCAA Division II National Tournament runner-up last season and took seventh place this year.
