Former Pima Aztec softball player Bailey Critchlow earns academic honor

The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by CoSIDA, named their Academic All-District teams Thursday, and infielder from the California Pacific Conference Embry-Riddle’s Bailey Critchlow was named to the NAIA District 4 Team.

The nation’s top student-athletes are chosen for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Critchlow was the heartbeat of the Eagles all season long.  She led the team in On Base Percentage (.520), Hits (53), and walks (20); she was also second in Batting Average (.427) and runs (24).  ERAU’s senior infielder was selected to her second straight All-Cal Pac First Team.

The Stockton, Calif., native is majoring in Forensic Biology at ERAU, where she has compiled a 3.46 grade point average.
