Arizona Volleyball moves up one spot in polls and Dahlke earns post season honors.

(Tucson, AZ)  Arizona Volleyball moved up one spot in the National Polls today to #23, just days prior to their first round match against the Missouri Tigers in Lincoln, NE.

The match will begin at 3:30 pm Mountain Time. The ESPNU network will have live games and updates throughout the Tournament.

Senior outside hitter Kendra Dahlke has been named to the all-conference team, the Pac-12 announced on Tuesday. Junior setter Julia Patterson and junior middle blocker Devyn Cross were named all-Pac-12 honorable mention.

This marks the first career all-conference recognition from all three Wildcats; Dahlke is UA’s first all-conference performer since Kalei Mau and Penina Snuka were named all-Pac-12 in 2016.

Dahlke leads the Pac-12 in kills per set (4.82), is second in points per set (5.16) and third with 16 double-doubles. Dahlke is trying become the first Wildcat since Kim Glass in 2005 to lead the conference in kills/set. Dahlke, despite missing six matches this season, has 477 kills this season, 12 shy of cracking the Arizona top-10 for kills in a season, giving her 1,398 for her career seventh most in Arizona history. In addition to her 4.82 kills/set, the senior averages 2.82 digs/set, 0.30 blocks/set and 0.16 aces/set.

Kendra Dahlke’s Pac-12 Conference Stats:

• 1st in the Pac-12 in kills (4.82/set)
• 2nd in the Pac-12 in points (5.16/set)
• 3rd in the Pac-12 in double-doubles (16)
• 477 total kills, 12 shy of the UA single-season top 10

Cross finished the regular season third in the conference in hitting percentage (.370) and 16th in blocks per set (1.06). The junior is one of three players in the league hitting .355 or better with more than 100 blocks. Cross hit .389 in Pac-12 matches, the second highest hitting percentage in league matches in the conference. Cross averages 2.10 kills and leads the team in solo blocks (16), block assists (95) and total blocks (111).

Patterson is second in the Pac-12 and 14th in the NCAA with 1,316 total assists this season. The junior, who leads the Pac-12 with 19 double-doubles this season, finished the season with double-doubles in 11 of UA’s final 12 matches of the season. Patterson averages 10.79 assists and 2.84 digs per set this season. Patterson’s 1,316 assists this year are 30 shy of cracking the Arizona top 10 and give her 2,361 for her career, ninth most in Arizona history.

Dahlke, Cross, Patterson and the Wildcats are set to take on Missouri in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats and Tigers meet on Friday at 3:30 p.m. MST in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Following a 20-0 Pac-12 season, Stanford had the Pac-12’s Player of the Year (Kathryn Plummer), Coach of the Year (Kevin Hambly), Setter of the Year (Jenna Gray) and Libero of the Year (Morgan Hentz). USC’s Raquel Lazaro was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.
